Materials for Statue of Liberty Drawing

  • Eraser. Large ones you can hold in your hand practise a much better chore than only the pencil tips.
  • Blackness Sharpie Marker. These fine signal permanent marker pens brand nice black outlines, accept a proficient tip for coloring, and never bleed when they get wet. Use them with adept ventilation and add extra newspaper underneath to protect your tables.
  • Prang Crayons. These are a bit softer than other crayons so they sometimes look like oil pastels. They also have a some dainty dark-brown shades that Crayola does not have unless you purchase their larger boxes.
  • Crayola Crayons. The reliable brand that always works well. The 24 pack has some of my favorite golden orangish and yellow colors that seem a bit richer and warmer than the ones Prang has.

How to Depict the Face of the Statue of Freedom

Time needed:45 minutes.

Draw the Statue of Liberty's Face

  1. Draw a large U shape.

  2. Add together a curved band on pinnacle.

  3. Draw the hair, ears and cervix.

  4. Draw the eyes, nose and rima oris.

  5. Add together the hair on the sides.

  6. Draw a center spike, and one on each end.

  7. Add two spikes centered in each side, for a total of vii.

  8. Describe the windows in the band. Add together clouds.

  9. Trace with a marker and color.
